Dybala equals Cristiano Ronaldo and prepares for Juventus exit

Paulo Dybala has equalled Cristiano Ronaldo for goals at Juventus in Serie A while preparing to leave Turin at the end of the season.

The Argentinean striker put his name on the scoresheet against Sassuolo yesterday, becoming the tenth best scorer in the club’s history in league games, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, with 81 goals.

The Portuguese star scored 101 goals in 134 games across all competitions, while Dybala has 114 goals in 288 games with the club.

La Joya will leave the club at the end of the season as Juventus have decided against offering him a contract extension. The two parties had reached an agreement over a new €10m-a-year deal at the end of 2021, but the club’s strategies changed after the signing of Dusan Vlahovic in January.

Dybala joined the Old Lady from Palermo in a €40m deal. This season, the 28-year-old has scored 14 goals in 34 appearances with the Bianconeri.

Inter, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with securing his services, but the Serie A and La Liga are the only ones to have taken concrete steps toward his signature in the summer. The next five games (four in Serie A plus the Coppa Italia Final) will be his last matches in a Bianconeri shirt.
