Done deal: Juventus agree Paredes terms with PSG

Juventus have reportedly finalised their agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Leandro Paredes, on loan with an obligation to buy for €15m plus another €5m in bonuses.

According to TyC Sports, Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia, the deal was struck this evening and Paredes will be released to have his medical tomorrow.

The Argentina international had agreed personal terms with Juve many weeks ago and the only reason this move took so long was because the Bianconeri needed to release some of their midfield players to make room and balance the books.

Paredes will be the second PSG player to join Juventus this summer, following his good friend and fellow Argentine Angel Di Maria.

He was not even called up for Paris Saint-Germain’s match because coach Christophe Galtier confirmed the player already had his mind on Juve.

It is a return to Serie A for Paredes, as the 28-year-old has already played for Chievo, Empoli and Roma until leaving for Zenit St Petersburg in 2017.
