Conte in a hurry to sign Kulusevski from Juventus permanently

According to reports in Italy, Antonio Conte is in a hurry to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal from Juventus and Spurs could activate their clause before 2023.

The Swede has had a terrific impact in North London since his loan move from Turin in January.

The 21-year-old has scored three goals and delivered six assists in 13 games with Antonio Conte in charge, becoming one of the most important players in the team.

Kulusevski joined Tottenham on an initial 18-month loan in January worth €10m. The Premier League side can make his move permanent for a further €35m in 2023.

As specified by Juventus in January, Tottenham have the ‘obligation to definitely acquire the player’s registrations rights, subject to the achievement of certain sporting objectives by the end of the season 2022/2023’ and ‘the right for Tottenham to definitively acquire the player’s registration rights in case such objectives are not achieved.’

According to Calciomercato.com, Conte is pushing to sign the player permanently before 2023 and Spurs could meet the desire of their coach. SportMediaset claims Spurs have an obligation to sign the player permanently if they manage a top-four finish this season, but the obligation to buy is only valid for 2022-23. Spurs are already considering signing the 21-year-old on a permanent deal regardless of that.
