Cagliari go for Isla

Cagliari are reportedly very close to securing a deal for Juventus and Chile midfielder Mauricio Isla.

He spent the last couple of seasons out on loan at QPR and Olympique Marseille, but his profile was boosted by this summer’s Copa America triumph.

Isla had been linked with several clubs in Italy and abroad.

Now Sportitalia claim newly-promoted Cagliari have dived in with a firm offer for the 28-year-old.

They would above all want him to play on the right, having seen Milan resist a bid for teenager Davide Calabria.
