Bonucci backs Milan for derby

Leonardo Bonucci says he is ‘backing’ Milan to win next week’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

Bonucci only lasted a season at Milan as he re-joined Juventus over the summer, but the defender made it clear he valued his spell with the Rossoneri more than his stint as an Inter youth player.

“I hope to see a great game, but I’m backing Milan,” he continued at a Press conference for Italy’s Nations League match against Poland on Sunday.

“I left behind a good bunch of lads and a great Coach.”

The 31-year-old then commented on how Cristiano Ronaldo was dealing with rape allegations.

“I saw a calm Ronaldo in the week we were together, these are personal issues and it’s not my place to comment on them,” he concluded.
