Belotti snubs Newcastle United as he waits for Milan to call

Andrea Belotti has turned down offers from Al-Hilal and Newcastle United as he waits for Milan to make a move for him.

The 28-year-old Italian striker’s contract expires with Torino at the end of this season and many clubs are interested in acquiring the player on a free transfer in the summer. He has recently turned down expensive offers from Al-Hilal and Newcastle United, with both clubs discussing contracts worth around €7-8m net per season.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Belotti wants to join Milan above any other club and he’s waiting for the Rossoneri to make a concrete move for him. He’ll be able to sign a pre-contract with them from next week onwards, so things could progress over the coming months.

Milan must first decide what to do with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however. The 40-year-old Swedish forward’s contract expires with the Rossoneri at the end of this season and a meeting with Paolo Maldini is scheduled for March.
