Barca to have new boss for Napoli?

Barcelona’s players reportedly want Patrick Kluivert to take charge of their Champions League tie against Napoli.

Quique Setien was brought in at the turn of the year and oversaw Barca’s 1-1 draw with Napoli in the first leg.

However, the Catalans were recently dethroned by arch-rivals Real Madrid in La Liga and Mundo Deportivo claims Setien has lost the dressing room.

However, the Catalans were recently dethroned by arch-rivals Real Madrid in La Liga and Mundo Deportivo claims Setien has lost the dressing room.

As per Football Espana via Mundo Deportivo, the squad would like Kluivert – father of Roma winger Justin – to succeed the 61-year-old.

The former Milan striker is a popular figure at Camp Nou, having scored 122 goals in 257 appearances for the club between 1998 and 2004.

He is currently the Blaugrana’s academy director so would be an internal appointment.

His previous roles include CT of Caribbean island Curacao, sporting director for Paris Saint-Germain and Clarence Seedorf’s Cameroon assistant.
