Arsenal to activate Manolas clause?

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to pay the €36m release clause for Roma defender Kostas Manolas, but face competition from Juventus.

The centre-back has long been linked with a Premier League move, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Il Messaggero and The Sun newspapers, Arsenal have scouted the Greek international and decided to activate the release clause in his Roma contract.

The centre-back has long been linked with a Premier League move, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Il Messaggero and The Sun newspapers, Arsenal have scouted the Greek international and decided to activate the release clause in his Roma contract.

His deal currently runs to June 2022 and is being renegotiated, so the Gunners would have to get in there quickly to avoid the clause being replaced by a much larger sum.

Juve have also floated the idea of activating the clause for Manolas, as Andrea Barzagli is retiring this summer.
