Massimiliano Allegri insists his lower League coaching experiences played a part in Milan winning the Scudetto.
The Rossoneri clinched the title on Saturday night during Allegri's first season with the San Siro giants.
While the likes of Leonardo, Vincenzo Montella and Roberto Mancini were instantly handed control of major clubs in their careers, Allegri had to learn his trade lower down the footballing ladder.

While the likes of Leonardo, Vincenzo Montella and Roberto Mancini were instantly handed control of major clubs in their careers, Allegri had to learn his trade lower down the footballing ladder.
"I think it was fundamental because nobody is born with knowledge," he told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport on Monday. "Learning the ropes is important for all Coaches.
"My first years in the Lega Pro and then my two at Cagliari were very important, an excellent school for me.
"Then I arrived at Milan, a splendid club. Vice-President Adriano Galliani and President Silvio Berlusconi were close to me and that made things easier."
Allegri started his managerial path with Aglianese in Serie C2 before spells at Spal, Grosseto and Sassuolo. He moved to Serie A side Cagliari in 2008.
The former midfielder also paid tribute to legendary Coach Giovanni Galeone, a man who has influenced his career.
"I owe him a lot because I grew up in footballing terms with him," Allegri added. "He taught me much, firstly as a player and then as a Coach."
The tactician has won the plaudits for masterminding the club's success this term, but he insists other factors were more important.
"The club and the players deserve the most credit because they put themselves at my disposal. That was the key thing this season.
"Transfers? We're just thinking about finishing this campaign. When it is over then we will talk about what is needed to improve the side. But let's just wait for now."
Although he admitted that he didn't get much sleep on Saturday night following the 0-0 draw at Roma, Allegri and his side are now totally focused on the Coppa Italia.
"It's fundamental and a trophy that we want," he said. "It won't be an easy game as we have to try to win at Palermo. But the side is mentally prepared to play an important game."
The two teams face each other on Tuesday night after the 2-2 draw at San Siro in the first leg of the semi-final.
