The 65-year-old was in the Gemelli Hospital in Rome for two and a half days.

It’s reported he underwent tests to spot narrowing in the arteries and had a stent implanted to widen the artery.

It is a standard procedure to prevent heart problems and notoriously heavy smoker Zeman was kept in for two days for observation.

This is the second time in only a few months that Zeman has gone into hospital, as in November he underwent treatment for a kidney stone.
