Why Milan want Club Brugge talent De Ketelaere

Charles De Ketelaere was one of the most exciting young prospects in the Belgian league this season and it’s no surprise that Milan want to pick him up this summer.

The 21-year-old Belgian forward shined this season for Club Brugge, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 33 Jupiler Pro League appearances this campaign. De Ketelaere has been consistently growing in the Belgian side’s first team and he’s made over 120 appearances for the club now, gaining valuable experience.

De Ketelaere is known for his incisive progressive passes, his confident and productive dribbling and his contributions to defence, not being afraid to track back or get stuck in. He also has a good long shot and an impressive eye for goal, meaning he’d provide a key boost to Stefano Pioli’s offensive capabilities.

The 21-year-old Belgian is a classy and exciting trequartista who is tactically flexible, able to play in a number of attacking roles. He’s already made 16 Champions League appearances and been called up for the national team.

De Ketelaere is likely to cost Milan around €40m in total, but he seems totally worth that price considering his potential and current ability.
