Samuel Chukwueze is on the verge of joining Milan and the Rossoneri hope to welcome the Nigeria international between Monday and Tuesday, claims Milannews.
Chukwueze is expected to finalise a permanent transfer to San Siro next week.
According to Milannews, club directors are working to finalise the deal with Villarreal shortly, so Chukwueze can land in Milan on Monday or Tuesday. As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs have already reached a principle of agreement for the 23-year-old.
Other sources claim the two clubs are still finalising the last few details, including Matteo Gabbia’s loan move to Villarreal.
Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta claim the Italian centre-back will join the La Liga side on a dry loan deal until the end of the season. This means Villarreal won’t have an option to make his move permanent at the end of 2023-24.
Gabbia is expected to fly to Spain after Milan’s friendly game against Real Madrid in Pasadena on Sunday.
