Former Roma and Napoli defender Kostas Manolas has the courage of a lion on the field – but even he gets scared when an actual lion growls at him.
The Greece international spent much of his career in Serie A at Roma from 2014-19 and then moving on to Napoli until January 2022.
He returned home to Olympiacos and has now joined Sharjah FC, where he is again teammates with ex-Napoli midfielder Allan.
During the filming of a presentation clip for the UAE Pro League club, Manolas had a bit of a scare when the lion took a dislike to the defender.
