Verona deal for Galatasaray’s Diagne

Hellas Verona have reportedly agreed terms with Galatasaray for Senegalese hitman Mbaye Diagne, who will fly in for a medical.

The transfer deadline in Serie A is on Monday evening, so there is little time to get the deal completed.

According to Tuttosport, Diagne will be in Italy tomorrow for his medical and to sign the paperwork.

It’s believed to be a one-season loan worth €2.5m with option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Diagne turns 28 next month and spent time at Juventus back in 2013-15, going out on various loans until his sale to Hungarians Ujpest FC.

He found his niche in Turkey with TJ Teda, Kasimpasa and in January Galatasaray.

Last season, he scored 10 goals in just 12 Super Lig games, while he netted 20 for Kasimpasa in 17 matches during the 2018-19 campaign.
