Valencia latest Icardi candidates

Valencia are the latest club interested in Mauro Icardi, but the striker’s legal action against Inter has scared off most other contenders.

The striker is formally suing the club for €1.5m in damages and demanding to be let back into full training sessions, including the tactical lectures and video analysis that he has so far been excluded from this summer.

The striker is formally suing the club for €1.5m in damages and demanding to be let back into full training sessions, including the tactical lectures and video analysis that he has so far been excluded from this summer.

A leaked version of the document showed he is suing for “clearly discriminatory behaviour” and wants to be allowed back into the team, even though Inter directors and Coach Antonio Conte have repeatedly stated he is not in their plans.

His determination to remain at San Siro has scared off other contenders for his signature, including Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Napoli, Monaco and Atletico Madrid.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia, Valencia are the latest club to have put forward an offer to take Icardi on loan with option to buy.

However, these same reports point out a deal is extremely unlikely, as Icardi has his heart set on the Nerazzurri.
