UEFA have provisionally suspended both Roma goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos and Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen while an investigation is held into their altercation.
The two clubs met in the Europa Conference League quarter-final first leg in Norway, which ended 2-1 for the hosts last Thursday.
Some time after the match had concluded, Nuno Santos and Knutsen were involved in an altercation in the tunnel.
They have accused each other of being responsible for the attack, each claiming self-defence.
UEFA have now announced they’ve provisionally suspended both Nuno Santos and Knutsen until the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body decides on the merits of the case, in accordance with Article 49 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, for prima facie violations of Articles 11 (2)(b) and 15 (1)(g).
The second leg of the quarter-final is at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Thursday and the Bodo/Glimt squad flew into Italy this afternoon.
It is not yet clear if that means Knutsen will be banned from the touchline for this match.
