Torino get Lazaro from Inter, ask for Miranchuk

Torino are finally active on the transfer market after yesterday’s meltdown, securing Valentino Lazaro from Inter and approaching Atalanta’s Aleksei Miranchuk.

The Granata went viral last night after an extraordinary row between coach Ivan Juric and director of sport Davide Vagnati was caught on camera, seemingly filmed and leaked by a player.

It erupted after weeks of frustration from Juric at the lack of reinforcements, even after selling Gleison Bremer to Juventus for €50m including add-ons.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the argument successfully shook things up, because Torino today clinched a deal for Inter full-back Lazaro.

It is expected to be a loan with option to buy for the 26-year-old, who can play in several different roles down the right flank.

Inter purchased Lazaro from Hertha Berlin in 2019 at €22.4m, but he failed to make an impact, loaned out to Newcastle United, Borussia Monchengladbach and Benfica.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia also report that Torino have asked Atalanta for midfielder Miranchuk, who is not part of coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans.
