Sandro Tonali has reportedly accepted a pay cut to force through his permanent transfer from Brescia to Milan.
The midfielder has always supported the Rossoneri and has pictures of himself as a child wearing their kit, so naturally was overjoyed to make the move to San Siro last summer, even snubbing rivals Inter, who had approached him first.
It was a loan at a cost of €10m with option to buy, but his performances prompted Milan to haggle for a discount on the original €15m second instalment.
The clubs have been negotiating for weeks without a breakthrough, but Tuttomercatoweb and Milannews.it claim the key was provided by Tonali himself.
The 21-year-old accepted a pay cut to make sure he won’t be torn away from his beloved Rossoneri jersey and a deal should be imminent.
He made 37 competitive appearances for Milan last season, helping them reach second place in Serie A.
