La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Storari suggested opening talks with Genoa himself after noticing that they require a reliable goalkeeper in light of Eduardo's latest howler.
Until yesterday Genoa had been in talks with Cagliari about Marchetti, but the knowledge that Storari is on the market has turned their heads.
Juventus are open to selling Storari for a fee thought to be around €4m and feel Marchetti would accept the role as Buffon's stand-in.
