Milan seem to be missing Fikayo Tomori as the English defender wasn’t on the pitch in four of the last five Serie A matches where the Rossoneri conceded at least three goals.
The Rossoneri lost their second Serie A game in a row against Sassuolo on Sunday.
Stefano Pioli’s side collected a 3-1 loss one week after their 4-3 defeat against Fiorentina.
Tomori missed both games with a hip injury. Matteo Gabbia replaced him in Florence, while Alessio Romagnoli started along with Simon Kjaer against Sassuolo.
The Rossoneri captain scored the opener in the match against the Neroverdi, but Domenico Berardi easily dribbled past him, scoring Sassuolo’s third goal before the Italian defender was shown a straight red card for a foul on Gregoire Defrel.
Tomori missed four of the last five Serie A matches where the Rossoneri conceded at least three goals. However, he is expected to return to action on Wednesday when the Serie A giants visit Genoa at the Stadio Ferraris.
The Englishman joined Milan on an initial loan deal in January 2021 completing a permanent €29m move over the summer.
Milan sit second in the Serie A table and have conceded 12 goals in 14 games.
