Italy coach Luciano Spalletti paid a visit to the Fiorentina training ground today, where he watched players including Moise Kean, Andrea Colpani, Michael Kayode and Cristiano Biraghi.

The Azzurri boss did not have to travel far for this meeting, because he is from the Florence area and still has a family home nearby.

Following the disappointing experience at EURO 2024, Spalletti is resuming his tour of the Serie A clubs to connect with coaches, particularly where they have changed this summer.

Spalletti meets new Fiorentina staff

Raffaele Palladino is the new boss at the Stadio Artemio Franchi after leaving Monza and he met with Spalletti alongside director Roberto Goretti.

The CT also watched the training session for Primavera youth team coach Daniele Galloppa’s team.

Among the players in the current Viola side who could be called up for Italy are new arrivals Kean and Colpani, signed from Juventus and Monza respectively.

Kayode is an Italy Under-21 international, while Biraghi is an old hand for the Azzurri.

Italy begin their Nations League campaign against France on September 6 and Israel on September 9.
