Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti will keep Kostas Manolas, 'a good player but there are others', and Edin Dzeko.

The defender's agent has been pressing the Giallorossi to offer him a new contract on better terms.

“Anyone, especially you who are here, can see that there are no pressures,” said Spalletti, as reported by Calciomercato.it. “Manolas is a good player, and there are other good players.

“It can and in fact it must happen that they are requested on the transfer market. The lad's intentions are very clear, there's no pressure.

“Talking about this so much risks creating an issue that wasn't there before. Manolas is staying with us.

“Dzeko? He's among those who want to vindicate himself. I think he'll be able to give us his total contribution. Last year it happened at times, at others it didn't, but his intentions are healthy and nice to watch.”

The team is currently in Boston, not too far from the base of their president James Pallotta.

“I found everyone in great shape, they're all looking forward to starting again. Almost everyone has done their homework. We're happy that they're still with us.

“Nowadays all of the great clubs go out and conquer, promoting their brand around the world.

“Our owners are American, so it follows that we must work here. There are no alternatives, this must be done.”
