According to claims from Ukraine, Shakhtar have put a significant price tag on 21-year-old goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin amidst reported interest from Inter as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.

Reported by Ukranian outlet Sport.ua, Shakhtar want €35m for their highly-rated young stopper, although with just one year remaining on his contract, Inter are said to be unwilling to stump up such a significant fee.

Sport believes that Inter are still willing to negotiate, but for a significantly lower price and could include a sell-on clause to help reduce the total fee.

Calciomercato reports that a fee in the region of €10m-€12m is how Inter value Trubin.

Shakhtar director Darijo Srna, who ended his playing career with Cagliari, had previously warned in an interview that if Trubin were to leave the club this summer, it would be “to a big club and for a lot of money.”

Srna had also cited the sale of Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea as a reference point for the sort of fee the club would hope to receive.

“He has many offers and we are talking to many clubs, but everyone must understand one thing. If he leaves Shakhtar Donetsk, he will go to a top club for a top figure, like it was for Mudryk, and like it will be for Sudakov, Bondarenko or Matvienko in the future,” he said in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

With Onana moving closer to a San Siro exit in favour of a move to Manchester United, Inter remain on the hunt for a new goalkeeper – or two – with the likes of Yann Sommer, Hugo Lloris and Marco Carnesecchi having been suggested in recent days.
