Sculli could make debut in Rome derby

Lazio boss Edy Reja claims new signing Giuseppe Sculli could be in for a baptism of fire as his debut for the club might come in tomorrow's derby.

Sculli had a medical this morning and completes a €3.5m transfer from Genoa just in time for his new team's Coppa Italia clash with Roma.

Speaking at a Press Conference, Reja said: "Sculli has been signed by Lazio and so he could be already available for tomorrow's derby against Roma.

"I will speak with him after training today. If he is convinced and ready, I will put him on the bench. Of course, he won't be a starter, but he could be useful in the course of the game."

Looking ahead to the game itself, Reja said: "No one wants to lose a derby, even if it is the Coppa Italia.

"It's important for us to continue this adventure. A little less so for Roma because they also have the Champions League to play for and continue to fight as equals with the title contenders.

"It's perhaps more important for us than for them."
