Maurizio Sarri reassured fans on Gonzalo Higuain’s ankle, but warned Genoa can make life very difficult for Napoli.

It kicks off on Sunday at 17.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“Higuain is fine, it was just a bruise in training and has been completely absorbed,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We must be aware that we’re facing a side in good shame that plays with intensity and aggression. Genoa are in great form, so it’ll be complicated for us.

“Playing at the San Paolo certainly counts, as the atmosphere is extraordinary, but we also need focus because Genoa bring with them a style of football not always suited to us.

“They create 10 individual duels around the park and we want to avoid that situation. They’ve won three of their last four games and reacted brilliantly to beat Torino when 2-0 down.”

Napoli are three points off leaders Juventus, but will kick off tomorrow knowing the Bianconeri’s result against Torino.

“You know I prefer the matches to all kick off at the same time and it is anti-sporting to split the fixtures up this way.

“We must reach the end without regrets, continuing to give everything with the joy of dreaming. At the end we’ll see what that all leads to. The crucial thing about this season is to end it without regrets.

“Motivation comes from dreams, so we must dream. I am happy my players enjoy themselves at Napoli, as it’s a pleasure for me to have found a group of lads like them.

“People often forget football is a game and playing it with joy can make you give 101 per cent rather than 100. I am genuinely very fond of these lads and then the fans deserve credit for the wonderful atmosphere too.”

Sarri was asked if he had concerns about his future.

“I had five years in Serie B or five in Serie C, so imagine if I’m worried about next season. I’m used to much worse situations than this.”
