‘Sao Paulo would want Kaka’

Sao Paulo President Carlos Miguel Aidar says his club would be ready to open negotiations with Ricky Kaka, should the player want the same.

The Brazilian’s future at current club Milan is uncertain, with reports this morning claiming he will decide whether or not to move back to his homeland by the end of this month.

In an interview with ESPN today, Aidar admitted a potential return for Kaka to Sao Paulo is out of his hands but said he retains hope that a deal can be done.

“Officially, all I can tell you is that Kaka won’t come back to Sao Paulo unless he wants to himself,” Aidar stated.

“It’s certain that if he shows himself to be interested in a return we would be all too ready to open a dialogue with him.

“To get him to come back we will also have to speak to FIFA to see whether we could increase the number of players in our squad.

“Often in football things seem impossible but then they happen. In this case with Kaka, that could happen.”
