Milan have reached an agreement in principle with Lazar Samardzic but have put talks with Udinese on hold after failing to find common ground.

The Rossoneri have started to heat up in the summer transfer window following last month’s signing of Alvaro Morata, completing the deal for Strahinja Pavlovic. The club are now focusing their efforts on finalising the Emerson Royal deal before switching their focus to Tammy Abraham.

Paulo Fonseca’s Milan are currently in the United States on their pre-season tour, where they’ve picked up friendly wins over Manchester City and Real Madrid, generating some confidence ahead of the new Serie A season.

Page 29 of today’s Tuttosport details how Milan have agreed personal terms with Samardzic following talks with his father-agent, but have decided to stop negotiations with Udinese for the time being.

The Friulian outfit are refusing to budge from their request of a fixed €20m plus add-ons and no players in exchange, pushing the Rossoneri to switch focus to other targets.
