S.Inzaghi: ‘Milan win unfair’

Simone Inzaghi says Milan’s win against Lazio is not fair as the Biancocelesti 'dominated the game' for long time.

Lazio recovered from two goals down but somehow lost 3-2 against Milan through a late Theo Hernandez’s goal.

“The result is not fair, I am angry. We came here with some problems, we had a few players out of action. We deserved more. It must serve as a lesson for the future,” Inzaghi toldDAZN.

“We are sorry for the result. We controlled the game,” he added.

“After the draw, we should have paid more attention. There must be a reason why Milan haven’t lost a game for long time. The guys must take the positive aspects of this game, not the result, but we dominated.

“We should have done more to avoid Theo’s goal. Luis Alberto left him too much space. I am sorry for the guys, they didn’t deserve to lose.”

Lazio have already conceded 23 goals in the opening 14 games of the season.

“We must pay more attention, we conceded goals on three set pieces. It’s not only a problem of defenders, we did well against Napoli on Sunday. Today’s approach was wrong, we can’t afford that against a top club like Milan.

“We are missing some points right now, but we’ll make up for it. I repeat today’s performance was good.”

Inzaghi replaced Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic after 74 minutes.

“It’s not easy to play with such a busy fixture list, Immobile and Milikovic-Savic were tired, I had to replace them.”
