Roma’s Curve closed for two games

Roma have been ordered to play their next two Serie A home games behind closed doors following offensive chants by fans at last night’s game with Napoli.

Giallorossi ultras were found guilty by sports governing bodies of anti-Neopolitan chanting at the Stadio Olimpico during the Coppa Italia semi-final clash.

The hosts won the match 3-2 but will now have to close both the Curva Nord and Curva Sud for their next two League encounters at the Olimpico, against Sampdoria and Inter.

Roma have been handed a two-game because the automatic one-game ban for this offence has had a suspended one-game ban from earlier in the season added to it, for the same fans’ similar behaviour during October’s League meeting with Napoli.
