Roma walk towards Trapp

Roma have definitively dropped Robin Olsen and put him on the market, so it’s reported Kevin Trapp is the main transfer target.

Caretaker manager Claudio Ranieri confirmed in his Press conference yesterday that Olsen would be on the bench for the second game running, shelved in favour of veteran Antonio Mirante.

He was purchased last summer to replace Alisson Becker, but proved to be a flop and a very unpopular figure with fans due to some rather obvious errors.

According to La Repubblica, Roma are targeting 28-year-old German Trapp as the first choice goalkeeper for next season.

Trapp is still owned by Paris Saint-Germain, but currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, as he left following the arrival of Gianluigi Buffon.

So far this season, Trapp has kept only 10 clean sheets in 34 competitive games, conceding 37 goals.
