The Coach has overseen the Giallorossi’s worst start to a season since the disastrous reign of Luis Enrique in 2011-12, while a group of fans barracked the team as they left Udine.

The broadcaster explains that although the Lupi do not want to change Coach at this stage, they are also aware of ‘a need for a turning point’ and the ‘ill-feeling expressed by Justin Kluivert and Cengiz Under at the Friuli’.

Consequently, Roma’s upcoming matches against Real Madrid and Inter will ‘decide’ Di Francesco’s fate, with Paulo Sousa and Antonio Conte in the frame to replace him.

Gazzetta dello Sport, meanwhile, goes a step further, claiming sporting director Monchi ‘will offer his resignation’ if the former Sassuolo boss is dismissed.
