Roma are after Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao, but are also preparing a number of alternatives from the French Ligue 1.
The Colombian 30-year-old played only 10 games in the Premier League this season, and is willing to reduce his salary in exchange for another shot at regular top-league football.
While Falcao could be Roma's replacement for Edin Dzeko, whom many expect to leave the capital, the club is also considering a number of younger options.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, sporting director Walter Sabatini's primary target is 22-year-old Michy Batshuayi. Playing at Olympique Marseille, he managed 15 goals in 33 games this season, but would cost a substantial €30m.
The newspaper also confirmed the Giallorossi's interest in Wissam Ben Yedder, who could be signed at a much more accessible €10m.
Roma are also believed to have probed for Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and Rennes youngster Ousmane Dembele, though there have been no official offers yet.
