Roma loan Doumbia to Basel

Roma have announced that Seydou Doumbia will join Basel on loan for the 2016-17 season.

The Ivorian forward joined the Giallorossi in January of 2015, but failed to make an impact in Serie A.

Loan spells at CSKA Moscow and Newcastle United followed, but the Magpies opted not to make the deal permanent.

Given he has a contract until 2019, the Lupi have been keen to send the striker elsewhere, and it has now been confirmed that he will move to Switzerland.
