Roma, Inter FFP sanctions imminent

Inter and Roma are about to find out their Financial Fair Play sanctions, say reports, with the former expecting tougher measures.

The two clubs failed to meet the break-even parameters imposed by FIFA and will learn their disciplinary measures very soon.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri can expect a financial sanction of €6-7m, as well as a limitation to the European squad they are allowed to field, which would be reduced from 24 to 21-23 players.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri can expect a financial sanction of €6-7m, as well as a limitation to the European squad they are allowed to field, which would be reduced from 24 to 21-23 players.

Alternatively Inter may be compelled to use a greater proportion of players from its youth academies.

Roma are reportedly in a more comfortable position and are unlikely to see their UEFA squad reduced, but they may face some financial sanctions too.

The sanctions may be revealed as early as today.
