Roma consider Hamsik-Pastore swap

Roma could make a move to bring Napoli hero Marek Hamsik back from China and exchange him with Javier Pastore, claim La Repubblica.

According to the newspaper, Giallorossi President James Pallotta is considering offering Pastore to Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang in exchange for the former Napoli captain.

The paper also reports that the Chinese side would be willing to pay some of the Slovakian’s €9m a year salary, as he is reportedly fed up with life in China and wants a return to Italy.

However, Napoli’s record goalscorer would have to think long and hard about joining another team in Italy after spending 12 years with the Azzurri.

The 31-year-old joined Dalian in January for €20m and has struggled to adapt, scoring once in 12 matches since his arrival.

Meanwhile, Argentine attacking midfielder Pastore has been deemed a flop at Roma since his €25m move from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, as he managed just four goals in 17 appearances for the Capital club.
