Roma closer to Pjanic deal

The Gazzetta dello Sport say that Roma are closing in on a contract renewal agreement with Miralem Pjanic.

The club have been seen as in talks with their Bosnian playmaker and his representatives for a number of weeks over a proposed improved and extended deal, amid continued interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

With his current contract expiring in June 2015, it was generally seen that one delay in negotiations centred on the inclusion of a buyout clause.

With his current contract expiring in June 2015, it was generally seen that one delay in negotiations centred on the inclusion of a buyout clause.

However, the Gazzetta report today that the Giallorossi will accept including a €30m rescission clause for Pjanic, to commit him to a new deal to run through to June 2018.

The pink paper says that the agreement is moving ever closer to being finalised.
