Report: Immobile in Milan talks

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile told Milan he is open to a transfer, even if they don’t get into Europe, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio insists the Rossoneri are working on Immobile and he has given the all-clear.

However, that is a very long way off a deal being done, as Lazio are notoriously tough negotiators and would not be willing to lose their top scorer.

However, that is a very long way off a deal being done, as Lazio are notoriously tough negotiators and would not be willing to lose their top scorer.

The 28-year-old was joint Capocannoniere in Serie A with Inter’s Mauro Icardi this season on 29 goals, while he found the net 41 times in 47 competitive games, adding 11 assists.

Having struggled at Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla, he rediscovered his form with a €10m move to Lazio in 2016.

His contract runs to June 2022.

Milan’s situation is up in the air, as UEFA excluded them from Europe for Financial Fair Play violations and Yonghong Li is in negotiations to sell 70 per cent of the club to Rocco Commisso.
