Report: Alisson to Madrid for €75m

Mundo Deportivo claim Real Madrid have agreed a €75m plus bonuses deal with Roma for Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

The asking price had been €80m, but the two clubs seem to have negotiated it down to €75m plus performance-related bonuses.

Liverpool and Chelsea had also been interested in the goalkeeper, although the Merengues were the favourites as far as Alisson was concerned.

The Spanish site reports the 25-year-old made it clear he would only leave the Giallorossi for Real Madrid.

It’s believed Alisson has already worked out a five-year contract with option for a sixth season.

The original offer of €55m plus bonuses was bumped up immediately to get it done before Brazil’s World Cup campaign begins.

It’s a remarkable piece of business for Roma, as they paid just €8m to get him from Internacional in the summer of 2016.

He spent his first Italian season on the bench as understudy to Wojciech Szczesny.

This evening, Real Madrid unveiled their new Coach, recently-sacked Spain tactician Julen Lopetegui.
