Rabiot needed six stitches after clash with Juventus teammate Bremer

Adrien Rabiot only played 25 minutes of today’s 4-0 friendly defeat to Atletico Madrid, but still ended up with six stitches after a collision with Juventus teammate Gleison Bremer.

The France international midfielder has been notably absent from Juve’s pre-season matches and was left with the Under-23 squad while the others went on a tour of North America.

He came off the bench at half-time in a 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid, played at the Continassa training ground in Turin after it was moved from Tel Aviv due to security concerns.

Rabiot’s match lasted just 25 minutes, as he was accidentally clattered by Bremer in a nasty clash of heads and came off far worse.

The midfielder walked off with a large bandage on his head and later confirmed via social media he had required six stitches to seal up the wound.

It hasn’t been a great summer for Rabiot, who is on the transfer market because his contract is due to expire in June 2023.
