PSG ‘in Roma double swoop’

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly failed in a sensational double swoop for Roma pair Alisson and Patrik Schick last month.

According to Parisunited, PSG sporting director Antero Henrique contacted Roma counterpart Monchi, initially to discuss Schick.

The Spaniard would then have quoted Henrique €60m, having only signed the striker last summer for a club-record €42m.

The website adds the Portuguese then enquired about Alisson, only to be knocked back as the Giallorossi ended January by negotiating the sales of Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko to Chelsea.

Schick has scored just once this season after a spate of injury problems and would have competed with the likes of Neymar and Edinson Cavani for a place in PSG’s attack.

Alisson, on the other hand, has impressed in goal for Roma, also prompting links with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid.
