Probable Serie A line-ups: Napoli vs Empoli

League leaders Napoli are looking to pile on the pressure on second place Milan with a win in this evening’s game against Empoli.

The match between the Partenopei and the Azzurri kicks off at 17.30 UK time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

Luciano Spalletti will have to manage two importance absences in his Napoli squad, with both Amir Rrahmani and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sidelined with injuries. Backup goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu is also in doubt.

Empoli coach Paolo Zanetti cannot count on Lorenzo Tonelli, Koni De Winter, Mattia Destro or Alberto Grassi, all of whom are unavailable due to various injuries.

Napoli currently sit six points ahead of second place Milan, who face Cremonese later today, and they’ll be hoping to get to the fast-approaching World Cup break unscathed as they dream of their first Scudetto in over three decades.

An upset win for Empoli could help them rocket up the Serie A table from their current 14th spot.
