Probable Champions League line-ups: Villarreal vs. Juventus

Massimiliano Allegri will look to Alvaro Morata and Dusan Vlahovic against Villarreal in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK at the Estadio de la Cerámica and it’s the first-ever meeting between the Bianconeri and the Spanish club in the Champions League.

Juventus have travelled to Spain without the injured Giorgio Chiellini, Daniele Rugani, Federico Chiesa, Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi. Morata and Vlahovic are set to start up front, with the 22-year-old making his Champions League debut.

Morata has scored two goals in his last four games against Villarreal. Leonardo Bonucci is available but unlikely to start, so Matthijs de Ligt will be the only natural centre-back featuring in Juventus’ XI. Danilo will partner the Dutch defender in centre defence with Mattia De Sciglio at right-back and Alex Sandro on the other wing.

Weston McKennie is expected to start over Adrien Rabiot, with Arthur and Manuel Locatelli in the middle of the park. Juan Cuadrado is one yellow card away from suspension.

Villarreal are without the injured Gerard Moreno, Ruben Pena and Francis Coquelin.
