A lot of criticism has come Suso’s way this term and whilst Pioli did seem to have faith in the winger, he might now feel the need to make some changes to his 4-3-3 formation to keep Milan from joining SPAL in the relegation battle early doors.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Samu Castillejo is ready to step in for Suso, so there is still no room for Ante Rebic.

Ismael Bennacer might get the nod in place of Lucas Biglia, as the new Rossoneri coach is still looking for his first win at the helm.

SPAL are looking to make two changes to the side which kept out Napoli in Ferrara last weekend, and Mirko Valdifiori is set to replace Simone Missiroli among the five in the middle of a 3-5-2.

Sergio Floccari is still looking for his first goal this season and should be returning to the starting line-up, replacing Alberto Paloschi.

Milan (probable): G Donnarumma; Duarte, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessié, Bennacer, Paquetá; Castillejo, Piatek, Calhanoglu

SPAL (probable): Berisha; Tomovic, Vicari, Igor; Strefezza, Murgia, Valdifiori, Kurtic, Reca; Petagna, Floccari
