Pradé confirms Liverpool target Amrabat ‘wants to leave’ and explains Bonucci meeting

Fiorentina director Daniele Pradé confirms Sofyan Amrabat ‘wants to leave’ but insists the Tuscans have not received official bids yet.

Amrabat has been tipped to leave the Stadio Franchi for several months, especially after his impressive performance at the 2022 World Cup with his national team Morocco.

Liverpool reportedly made contact with Fiorentina earlier this week, but Pradé said during an interview with the club’s official YouTube channel that the club has yet received no offers.

“The situation is clear,” explained Pradé.

“He wants to join a top club and we want to satisfy him, but if we receive no offers, he will stay with us. We don’t have a player like him in the team.”

There is excitement in the capital of Tuscany following the many signings completed by the Viola directors, including Argentinean striker Lucas Beltran.

“We’ve followed him for a long time. Lucas is strong and he’s raised his value this year. We are on good terms with River’s President and this helped. Vincenzo Italiano also did a great job for the Argentinean striker. We’ve been working well with our scouts in the South American market with the expert Burdisso.”

Pradé has recently been spotted at a restaurant with Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, raising concerns among Fiorentina fans who don’t want to see a legend of their biggest rivals move to the Stadio Franchi.

“It was just a coincidence,” reiterated Pradé.

“There were other players too, but privacy is optional now. We laughed at the whole situation,” concluded Pradé.

Bonucci has been frozen out from the Juventus squad for 2023-24 and is not expected to play for the Old Lady again, having one year left in his contract with the Bianconeri. He has asked to be reintegrated into the team, but the club and coach Massimiliano Allegri seem unwilling to change their stance.
