“Cristiano is always decisive and has been for 15 years. If he’s playing, it means he is in good shape and we hope he’ll be decisive this time as well,” the director of sport told Sky Sport Italia.

Rugani is in the starting XI, as captain Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out by injury.

“Those who play for Juve always have responsibility, as it is a big club that always competes to win major tournaments. Rugani has played almost 100 games for Juve, so he won’t have any nerves and we are confident.”

Paratici was asked about Ajax star defender and known Juve transfer target Matthijs de Ligt.

“De Ligt is talented, we all know that and tonight he’s playing for Ajax. As for his future, you’d have to ask Ajax.”
