RAI Sport claims Victor Osimhen has a €90m release clause to leave Napoli permanently in the January transfer window.

The Nigeria international joined Galatasaray on loan earlier this month after negotiations with Al-Ahli, Chelsea, and PSG had collapsed during the summer transfer window.

Osimhen extended his Napoli contract until June 2027 before leaving the club on a temporary transfer, and his release clause was lowered to €75m from €130m.

However, according to RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato, another clause allows the striker to leave Napoli for €90m in the January transfer window.

Venerato, via Corriere Azzurro, says that the clause is not valid for Serie A clubs.

Juventus have recently been linked with signing Osimhen, but Galatasaray vice-president İbrahim Hatipoğlu has insisted that the 25-year-old would not leave the club in the January transfer window.

Osimhen scored his first two goals for Galatasaray on Saturday in a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

Osimhen, the 2022-23 Serie A best scorer, netted 76 goals in 133 games with Napoli.
