Origi on track to make first Milan start

Divock Origi has made a limited impact at Milan since his arrival in the summer but now he’s finally expected to make his first start under Stefano Pioli.

The 27-year-old Belgian forward joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer in the summer, ending an eight-year association with Liverpool. He briefly appeared in Milan’s first two games before suffering from muscle inflammation, leaving him on the sidelines for a handful of games.

Origi played 45 minutes for the Rossoneri in the win over Hellas Verona and has been working hard on building match fitness.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Pioli is planning his starting lineup for Milan’s upcoming match against Monza and is seemingly ready to give Origi his first start in a red and black shirt.

Although the Belgian was never the most prolific striker for Liverpool, he was still a fan favourite after scoring a number of vital goals in big games.
