Official: Ponce leaves Roma

Greek champions AEK Athens have officially signed Roma striker Ezequiel Ponce on loan with an option to buy.

It comes despite AEK seemingly giving up on Ponce after they brought in fellow forward and Argentine Lucas Boye from Torino.

Pagine Romaniste reports the 21-year-old has joined the Enosis on loan for the coming season, with the latter able to keep him for €6m.

Roma would be entitled to 30 percent of any resale, although the website notes that can be eliminated if AEK pay an extra €1m.

Ponce moved to the Olimpico in 2015 but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Giallorossi, instead spending time on loan at Granada and Lille.
