Official: Pescara pick up Bojinov

Pescara have officially announced the signing of former Juventus forward Valeri Bojinov on a free agent.

The Bulgarian forward has had been without at club since he left Botev Vratsa in January and has returned to Italy, where he has previously played 157 times in Serie A.

His last club was Ternana and Bojinov left to play for Partizan Belgrade in July 2015, after previous attempts to establish himself in both England and Portugal.

The 33-year-old has now been unveiled as Pescara’s new forward, five years after he left the country.

“Delfino Pescara 1936 announce that they have acquired the sporting performances of the Bulgiarian striker Valeri Bojinov,” the club wrote in a statement on their own websites.

Pescara are currently 10th in Serie B and are one point behind Cittadella, who are currently occupying the final place in the play-off.
