Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has pulled out of the Italy squad due to low back pain, and Lorenzo Lucca will replace him.

FIGC said on Monday that Fiorentina striker Kean won’t be available for Italy’s games against Belgium and Israel in October.

The former Juventus forward had been included in Luciano Spalletti’s 23-man squad for the upcoming Nations League matches in Rome against Belgium and Udine against Israel.

However, Kean is suffering from low back pain, and for this reason, he has returned to his club to undergo treatment.

FIGC said Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca would replace Kean.

Spalletti already called Lucca for friendly games in the USA this past March, but the Udinese striker didn’t make his debut due to a minor injury. He has scored five goals in nine Udinese games across all competitions this season.

Kean has five goals in 10 Fiorentina appearances this term but missed a penalty kick against Milan last night, with Spalletti watching in the stands.

Italy players will train at Coverciano on Monday afternoon.
